About Marie

After studying literature at the University of Strasbourg and spending years as a teacher. She has always been attracted to fabrics, materials, and other beautiful wares, and she has a deep respect for the work and know-how behind a creation.

When she couldn't find a pretty pouch for a piece of jewelry that she wanted to give as a gift, she decided to make one herself. It was then that Katja, owner of the concept store, Le Boudoir, in Zurich, noticed her work. Katja shared Marie's attention to detail and beautiful mixes of materials and offered to display the famous little kits in her shop. From then on, collaboration began. Needing a brand, Marie chose to simply use her first name in combination with the name of the shop with whom she was working. Marie for...Le Boudoir.

Numerous collaborations followed; most notably with the Caspar concept store, the vintage boutique Süssigkleid, and the Chez Mamie grocery shops.

Marie then met the ceramist, Fanny Sennheiser, for whom she created custom-made Liberty bags used for her vases. Since 2017, they have since organized several exhibitions and Zurich-based designers and artists.

Marie has also collaborated with the Zurich boutiques Nook and Vestibule, with Villa Paul in Baden, and most recently with Såpe, a natural and organic cosmetics brand.

Knowing Marie likes to make small collections in limited series, DÀNA decided to propose a collaboration, primarily because of her attention to detail and her thoughtful choice of fabric. This makes her creations unique and original.

Marie exceeded expectations by carefully selecting a fine striped linen that matches the soft pastel colors of DÀNA's world to make yoga mat bags and pouches.
